It is a great honour and privilege for me to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the members of the Public Health Association of Bangladesh for inviting me in the virtual annual conference 2021.I must appreciate your efforts to organize this conference when we are experiencing significance difficulties in providing health careduring this Covid 19 pandemic crisis. Although I would surely prefer to meet you and to know you in person, but the current situation compelled us to meet virtually. I hope we shall not let the current challenges impede any further on the health of the people of our country as well as globally. I strongly believe, through this congregation,the public health experts from the country and abroad will share knowledge and expertise and will come up with recommendations for health system enhancement and health promotion at grass root level. This is the time we need our public health experts to play the important role in developing a health system to overcome the challenges due to this pandemic situation. I am delighted to be the part of the inaugural session of this conference and I wish the great success of the annual conference 2021 of the public health association of Bangladesh.
