Prof. Dr Faridul Alam, MBBS, DTM&H, SMUD, PhD 

Prof Alam has a checkered academic careerof almost 40 years ending with aFellowship at the John Hopkins University, USA. From Bangladesh Health Service, he quickly switched to join the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). He held the post of Director and Professor National Institute of Nuclear Medicine and allied Sciences, at BSMMU Campus of BAEC. After retirement he joined as Director, Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) General Hospital and Health Care Development Project (HCDP), a program of Bangladesh Diabetic Association and soon joined as Head&Professor Department of Radiologyand Imaging Technology,Bangladesh University of Health Sciences, Darussalam, Mirpur Dhaka eventually to become the Vice-Chancellor, of the same University where he is currently working. He is actively involved in research and has over 100 publications to his credit.He is actively involved in different professional bodies such as the life member of Bangladesh Society of Endocrinology, Bangladesh Society of Ultrasonography, Bangladesh Society of Nuclear Medicine, Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Bangladesh Thyroid Association and Bangladesh Cancer Society. He is also a member of New York Academy of Sciences, World Federation Nuclear Medicine and Biology, World Federations Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Asia-Oceania Thyroid Association.
