Prof. Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, MBBS, MPH, PhD (enrolled)
Prof. Yasmin, is currently the Dean, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Head, Department of Public Health, State University of Bangladesh. She has been keenly involved in designing and operation of health research to generate knowledge applicable to evidence based health policy and programming particularly for the people of developing countries. She manages a large multidisciplinary professional team at her Department. She also contributed to design of several epidemiological, social /behavioral science, clinical trials and implementation research on Reproductive Health, Gender Issues, Tropical diseases, emerging and re-emerging diseases (HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Arsenic pollution, Dengue/DHF, SARS and COVID-19). She is working with couple of research Groups in trying to find out ways and means to fight out the dreadful COVID-19. Prof. Yasmin is a loved teacher in her Department where she has been guiding thesis research projects approx. 600 studies at MPH level out of them about 70 are of Nepalese students. She has a number of publications in different National and International peer reviewed journals. She is an avid traveler and visited many large and small unknown countries of the world, just to learn about people.
