Prof. Rashid-E-Mahbub, MBBS, FCPS, FCPS, FRCP 

Prof. Mahbub better known as people’s surgeon with an eagle’s eye and dexterous five pairs of fingers for the last 50+ years but gradually got involved in environment and Public Health issues of national importance. This has become more of his passion. He is now more of an activist and a strategic thinker. Due to his excellent leadership qualities he once became the President of BMA, Chairman of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and led many other such organizations and Committees. During his active life as an academician and a researcher he published more than a dozen peer reviewed articles in national and international journals. He still continues to give his valuable advisory and advocacy time to national organizations like Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, National Health Rights Committee, National Health Council and Institute for Environment and Development.
